Position Summary

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutritional counseling and education to individuals and groups, developing and implementing nutrition programs, and promoting healthy eating habits to prevent and manage disease. Join our virtual health team and enjoy the flexibility of a virtual 1099 contractor role while delivering high-quality nutritional counseling and education.

Compensation

At FitOn Care, we are committed to fair, equitable, and competitive compensation. The hourly rate for this position is $33-$60 per hour. During the interview process, total compensation will be determined in alignment with market data, candidate location and the experience & capabilities of each candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for clients based on their health status, dietary habits, and medical history.
Provide one-on-one and/or group counseling sessions to educate clients on healthy eating practices.
Accurately document client assessments, nutrition plans, and progress notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to ensure seamless care coordination and compliance.
Create and implement targeted nutrition programs for various populations, including those managing diabetes, heart disease, or pursuing athletic performance goals.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to integrate nutrition care with overall medical treatment plans.
Create educational materials and conduct workshops or seminars on various nutrition topics.

Qualifications

Active certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
State licensure in Florida and/or California (multi-state licensure is a plus).
Professional Liability Insurance coverage.
Current enrollment with at least two (2) major insurance payors (preferably at least two of Aetna, BCBS, UHG, Cigna, Kaiser, Elevance).
Experience with various EHR systems
Experience in virtual health or telehealth nutrition counseling is preferred but not required.
Candidates must successfully pass a background check and maintain good standing with the applicable state board.
